Essex & Suffolk Border League Round Up   13-12-14

 

Premier Division

 

Gas Recreation went to the top of the table as they beat leaders Holland FC 3-0, and Little Oakley dropped a couple of points at Tollesbury in a 0-0 draw.  University of Essex crushed Lawford 7-1, and White Notley edged out Dedham Old Boys 3-2.  Alresford Colne Rangers entertained Earls Colne and drew 2-2, and Boxted Lodgers picked up their first win of the season as they beat Tiptree Jobserve 1-0. 

 

Division One

 

Hatfield Peverel missed the opportunity to stretch their lead at the top as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Wormingford & Colne Engaine, but Harwich & Parkeston cruised to a 6-1 win over Hedinghams United.  Bradfield Rovers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Gosfield United. and Mersea Island had an away win at Elmden Rovers Clacton, 3-2.

 

Division Two

 

Frost bit hard here leaving just the three fixtures.  Cinque Port had a 2-0 win at Great Bentley Reserves, and Gosfield United Reserves defeated Mersea Island Reserves, 9-3, just leaving Dedham Old Boys Reserves to beat Boxted Lodgers Reserves 6-1.

Gas Recreation Reserves went through Holland FC Reserves 5-0 to stake a place in the semi finals.  West Bergholt Reserves will join them there after they defeated University of Essex Reserves 1-0, and Little Oakley Reserves are there also after beating Coggeshall Town Reserves 3-0.
