Essex & Suffolk Border League Round Up   25-01-15


Premier Division


Gas Recreation are maintaining their lead at the top of the table with a 4-2 victory over Alresford Colne Rangers, but West Bergholt remain within striking range as they have the games in hand and defeated White Notley 1-0.  Holland FC maintained their interest as they beat Holland FC 3-1, and University of Essex beat Tollesbury 3-2.  Little Oakley aren't done as far as the championship goes, as they beat Barnston AFC 3-1, and Lawford Lads picked up a rare victory as the won at Boxted Lodgers 2-1.


Division One


Hatfield Peverel didn't play this week but University of Essex Reserves failed to capitalise as they were beaten 6-1 by Little Oakley Reserves, and Harwich & Parkeston and West Bergholt Reserves shared the points in a 0-0 draw.  Gas Recreation Reserves fell to a 3-2 defeat at Holland FC Reserves, but Wormingford came up trumps as they got three points from Mersea Island in a 3-2 victory.  Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves drew with Elmden Rovers Clacton, 2-2, and Gosfield United defeated Bradfield Rovers 3-2.


Division Two


Kelvedon Social continue to lead as they beat Gosfield United Reserves 6-1, and Cinque Port defeated Dedham Old Boys Reserves 2-0 to retain second place.  Weeley Athletic crushed Boxted Lodgers Reserves 8-0, and Team Brantham made the journey across the water to beat Mersea Island Reserves 6-3.  Tiptree Jobserve Reserves beat Horkesley 5-0, Bradfield Rovers Reserves hit six against Great Bentley Reserves, 6-3, and Tiptree Perrywood beat Hatfield Peverel Reserves 3-1.
