Essex & Suffolk Border League                   Report  14-11-09

Premier Division

The weather failed to dent the already diminished premier program, whilst the rest of the program was decimated.  Holland FC went over to Little Oakley and won 2-1, and Hedinghams had an away win as they beat Mersea Island 2-0, and Great Bentley drew 1-1 with Hatfield Peverel.

First Division

Only Rowhedge played in this division with their visitors coming out on top, as Lawford Lads won 3-2.

Premier Reserve Division

Gas Recreation Reserves won 2-0 when they went over to Brightlingsea Reserves, and Holland Reserves managed a 3-1 victory over West Bergholt Reserves.

Reserve Division One

Boxted Lodgers Reserves  and Glemsford Reserves shared the points 1-1, and Bradfield Rovers Reserves beat Mersea Island Reserves 2-0.  Sudbury Athletic Reserves had a 3-2 win at Hedinghams Reserves, whilst Tiptree Jobserve Reserves beat Gosfield United Reserves 4-2.

Border League Cup Round 2

Three cup games were played as Brightlingsea Regent beat Clare Town 2-0, and Glemsford & Cavendish fell at home 2-0 to Clacton United.  Gas Recreation got a shock as they were beaten 6-1 by University of Essex, with the University goals coming in pairs as Mark Maher, Junior Donkor and Gareth Legget all got two each.
